Lawson Elementary First Hazelwood School to Use Red Cross' Ready Rating Program to Prepare
Lawson Principal Betty Scheller attended a Red Cross Ready Rating program press conference at the Anheuser-Busch brewing complex in St. Louis in an effort to get other District schools involved.

Purina Aids Red Cross
Purina is donating $25,000 to the American Red Cross St. Louis Area Chapter in support of its Pet First Aid Program, which aims to increase outreach and participation in the program by promoting it in the community.

Red Cross Partners With City of Florissant to Host Third-Annual Community Heroes Day
The American Red Cross St. Louis Area Chapter and the City of Florissant are partnering to host the third-annual Community Heroes Day on Saturday, May 17. The event will occur at the James J. Eagan Community Center, located at One James J. Eagan Drive, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Red Cross Presents Lifesaver Community Award to the Wentzville School District
Before a recent Board of Education meeting, the American Red Cross St. Louis Area Chapter presented the Lifesaver Community Award to the Wentzville Public School District, a 2007 recipient of Missouri's Distinction in Performance Award.

Red Cross Comes to the Aid of Earthquake Survivors in China
The Red Cross Society of China mobilized immediately, sending employees and volunteers to help by providing relief supplies such as tents, quilts, water and food. Hundreds of volunteers have been coming in to help with rescue and first aid.
