Kirkwood Defibrillation Program Launched
At the June 5 Kirkwood City Council meeting, representatives of the American Red Cross St. Louis Area Chapter and SSM St. Joseph Hospital of Kirkwood presented the city with an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

Eight Local American Red Cross Disaster Relief Workers Now Responding to Hurricane Dolly
In addition to the two disaster relief workers who deployed from St. Louis on Tuesday, the American Red Cross St. Louis Area Chapter is now deploying an additional six local disaster relief workers to support the relief effort underway in Southern Texas as Hurricane Dolly has caused excessive rainfall and major flooding.

Red Cross Responds as Tropical Storm Dolly Continues to Ravage Texas
With wind gusts up to 60 mph, Dolly remains an intense storm that will affect residents for the next few days. The American Red Cross is prepared to respond with more than 30 mobile response vehicles and more than 300 volunteers in the area.

Hurricane Dolly Makes Landfall as Red Cross Volunteers Assist Evacuees
The Red Cross responded quickly to the storm by supporting an open shelter in San Antonio the day before, which was already housing 198 evacuees by midnight, hours before the storm made landfall.
