Did you know only 2 in every 10 Americans feel prepared for a major disaster, yet 82% said they would take the steps to get prepared if only they knew how? The American Red Cross is here to help.
The St. Louis Area Chapter offers free disaster education programs for people of all ages. In 2006 alone, over 72,000 St. Louis area residents took part in these presentations at schools, businesses and community events.
It is the Red Cross' mission to help the community prevent, prepare for and respod to disasters. By taking part in CDE programs, you and your family will not only be helping yourselves get prepared, you will also be helping the Red Cross in fulfilling its lifesaving mission. A disaster can strike at any moment, the Red Cross wants to show you how to be ready.
