You've heard all of the warnings about the threat of another terror attack on the U.S., but some experts say the warnings are overkill. They say the focus should be on our response to disaster instead of home preparations, just like after a big snowstorm. Besides, experts say all that plastic wrap may not work anyway. Dr. Greg Evans, Bioterrorism Expert said, "If it's chemical, you're going to be overwhelmed by the chemical before you know when to go in that room. If it's biological, you're not even going to know you're exposed until you come down sick." But the skeptics do agree that keeping water, flashlights and batteries is a good idea incase of any emergency. For more on how you can prepare for a possible terrorist attack, Mike Thieman from the American Red Cross was on the morning show. He's a service specialist from the American Red Cross. The Red Cross says there are three things you need to do:
1. BUILD A KIT 2. MAKE A FAMILY PLAN 3. GET TRAINED FOR THINGS SUCH AS CPR.
For more information, you can call the Red Cross at 314-516-2838 or visit http://www.redcrossstl.org. They offer free presentations for your business, where they will come to your offices and show you how to best prepare for any terrorist attack.
