Back If you are looking for a way to support our troops, now is your chance. NewsChannel 5 and the St. Louis chapter of the American Red Cross are kicking off a relief effort called project S.O.S. It stands for “Support our Servicemen and Women.” The effort depends on your financial donations to help the military. Money raised during Project S.O.S. provides emergency communications with service people, troop support, also money for families of troop members and care packages. “So it’s a very important service at this time when people in the St. Louis area are under a lot of stress especially the service people that are called to duty,” Joe White of American Red Cross.
