Back The May Department Stores Co. Foundation, Famous-Barr, The Jones Store and Foley's have given $25,000 to the American Red Cross to assist victims of recent tornadoes in the Midwest. Red Cross organizations in St. Louis, Kansas City, Joplin, Springfield, Cape Girardeau, Mo.; Carbondale and Pekin, Ill.; and Oklahoma City will receive assistance. St. Louis-based Famous-Barr operates 43 stores in Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Nebraska and Iowa, under the Famous-Barr, L.S. Ayres and The Jones Store names. Houston-based Foley's operates 67 stores in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, New Mexico and Louisiana. St. Louis-based May Department Stores Co.
