 Union Pacific Foundation donated $5,000 each to the Salvation Army and American Red Cross in the St. Louis area for their work in assisting De Soto residents following the devastating May 6 storms in eastern Missouri.
A trailer loaded with 61,776 bottles of water donated by Union Pacific arrived in De Soto on May 12.
De Soto is home to one of Union Pacific's largest railcar repair shop facilities where about 350 UP employees work. Many current and retired employees live in the De Soto area.
