In theaftermath of the devastating tsunami in December, nurses from St. John’s (members of the Local 655 Professional Division) raised more than $8,000 to benefit victims of the natural disaster through the American Red Cross. Funds were collected during the last home football game for the St. Louis Rams.
“The American Red Cross is grateful for the generous support of the St. John’s nurses,” said Joseph C. White, CEO of the St. Louis Area Chapter. “Their important efforts raise awareness of the incredible need for assistance. The money raised will provide immediate relief in the form of shelter, food, drinking water, clothing, hygiene kits, medical supplies, vaccines, and counseling for those affected.” |
