A family living at 210 Nadine were able to escape a house fire early Monday morning.
The fire started just before 6 a.m. and investigators believe the fire started in the basement of the home. There has not yet been a determination about what started the blaze.
No one was injured in the fire.
The family of six, three adults and three children, lost nearly all of their personal belongings in the fire. The Red Cross is providing them with shelter, food, clothes, shoes and coats, according to Katie Nagus, a spokeswoman with the American Red Cross St. Louis Area Chapter.
Also, a structure fire destroyed a home Sunday morning at 4507 Zika Lane in Marine. The only resident of the home was able to escape without getting harmed. Fire officials are not sure what caused the blaze.
