It’s March 1st, which means it is the start of Red Cross Month! President Barack Obama, who is the Honorary Chairman of the Red Cross, signed a proclamation last week marking the designation. This is the 66th year for March to be named Red Cross Month.
As part of the festivities, the Red Cross is hosting a contest, called “Change a Life.” Starting tomorrow, visit RedCross.org and tell how a Red Cross experience has changed your life or someone else’s. The winner gets a trip to Washington D.C. to see and meet!) Keith Urban. How cool is THAT?!
Side note -- Keith Urban must really love the Red Cross – just last month Keith and Nicole donated over $300,000 to help victims of the Australian wildfires.
Here in St. Louis, we plan to mark Red Cross Month in a number of ways, the first being on this blog. We promise to post new blog content every day of the month – including weekends! The idea came from NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month), so I guess you could say this is ReCroBloPoMo (Red Cross Blog Posting Month)! Re: Meet Keith Urban in Washington D.C.
I live in Arlington, Virginia, and have seen Keith twice in concert and he is awesome! The lucky winner of this contest will never forget this experience, I can assure you of that! My question is, where is Keith going to play when he is here in the Washington, DC area? I guess August 20th is the official date of the show, but no tickets have gone on sale just yet. He played at the Verizon Center on August 17, 2007 for the first time and was very impressed by how big the place was. Needless to say, it was sold out! I just want Keith back in town and stay a little bit longer this time!
