We hit a milestone this week! We now have over 100 members in the Red Cross Ready Rating Program. Enterprise Rent-A-Car Company was officially our 100th member. Our friends at Enterprise are excited to be part of this program because they care about the safety of their employees and they want to be prepared for emergencies because, let’s face it, emergencies are inevitable.

What is the Ready Rating Program? It’s a new web-based preparedness program developed right here in St. Louis that helps businesses, organizations and schools prepare for emergencies. The program lets members self-assess their preparedness on a 0-65 point scale. Once members know where they “rate”, they then have the tools and a roadmap to improve their level of preparedness. All we ask is that members commit to improve their readiness by at least one point each year. It’s our way of helping to make the community a safer place.

The best part – it’s free thanks to a very generous gift from our friends at Anheuser-Busch. And who doesn’t love free stuff these days?

So ask your boss, your church, businesses you patronize, your child’s principal, if they are members of the Ready Rating Program. Today we mark our 100th member. Tomorrow we raise the bar even higher. Let’s make the Greater St. Louis area one of the best prepared regions in the country.

Stay tuned…

Brooke
