More than ever, women nationwide are taking an increasingly prominent role in philanthropic investments in their communities. That’s true here in St. Louis, where I am proud to be one of seven Founding Members of the American Red Cross St. Louis Area Chapter Tiffany Circle.
The Tiffany Circle is a leadership network of women who want to save lives and strengthen their communities through investments of their time, talent and financial resources. Tiffany Circle members donate $10,000 annually to support their local Red Cross Chapter. Last year, the seven St. Louis Area Chapter founding members joined over 500 women across the country to raise more than $13 million for the American Red Cross.
To celebrate our shared commitment to the Red Cross, this fall five of our Chapter’s founding members gathered for our first annual Tiffany Circle Founding Members’ recognition dinner. It was a great privilege to get to know other women who share my passion for the mission of the Red Cross, and I enjoyed hearing their stories of how they have come to be so dedicated to helping others in our community in times of great need.
This year’s dinner was a wonderful way to celebrate our dedication to our community, and to the Red Cross. And, as this year’s Tiffany Circle co-chair, I am already looking forward to upcoming gatherings, where I hope more women will join us in our efforts to keep St. Louis safe, prepared, and strong.
