The St. Louis Cardinals and the American Red Cross are teaming up again this year to help save lives.
Please join us for the annual Red Cross-St. Louis Cardinals Step Up to the Plate and Donate blood drive from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday atThe Center of Clayton,50 Gay Ave.
Everyone who attempts to donate will receive a specially designed T-shirt while supplies last and will be entered into a raffle for Cardinals prizes. In addition, Cardinal players and mascot Fredbird are scheduled to appear at the Center of Clayton.
Cardinals blood drives will also be held in several other locations throughout Missouri and Illinois June 29 and 30. A list of locations can be found at
redcrossblood.org.
With the blood supply traditionally at lower levels during the summer, with schools out and families on vacation, we are asking for your help. All blood types are needed, but particularly O negative.
To donate blood, a person must be in good health, be at least 17 years old (16 with a Red Cross parental consent form) and weigh at least 110 pounds. Blood donors should bring a Red Cross donor card, valid driver’s license with a photo or other form of official picture identification.
For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit
redcrossblood.org. We prefer that people make appointments, but walk-ins are also welcome.
Hope to see you there!
