Red Cross Month is nearing a close, but not before we squeeze in one last episode of Tuesday Trivia with Lindsey. So here we go!
It’s only been viral for a few days, but by now, I hope you’ve seen Air New Zealand’s
latest in-flight safety video. The New Zealand airline group is already well-known for their clever advertising and high-energy attitude, but they may have taken it to a whole new level by featuring fitness guru Richard Simmons in their new safety video. The
"Sweatin' to the Oldies" star is the perfect flight attendant teaching travelers how to be “fit to fly.” With his sequin shirts and jazzercise hands, buckling your seat belt and storing your luggage has never been so much fun.
"First let's stretch it out, and loose that baggage. Stretch it up to the overhead locker or slide it under the seat in front of you. Stretch and slide! Yeah! You're a giraffe!"”
Now that’s good stuff. Classic.
As part of his partnership with Air New Zealand, Richard Simmons exercised his moves and his fundraising skills earlier this month for the Red Cross. How did Richard Simmons and Air New Zealand help the Red Cross?
Answer Time! Earlier this month, as part of his “Fit to Fly” promotion with Air New Zealand, Richard Simmons held an exercise class to raise money for the Christchurch Earthquake Red Cross appeal. All of the proceeds from the class went to the New Zealand Red Cross in support of their Christchurch relief efforts. The city of Christchurch was struck by a 6.3 magnitude earthquake on February 22, causing widespread devastation to the city. The quake caused significant loss of life and injury, as well as severely damaging buildings, infrastructure and services.
