Last night’s Disaster Action Team shift was a busy one! In the door, out the door, in and out. Luckily most were false alarms. However, we did provide assistance to a few families at a multiunit apartment fire.
Here’s how it all went down. Enjoy today’s Diary of a Disaster Action Team Crew!
Be part of the action each Wednesday night, or just see what we’re up to the rest of the week by following us @stlredcross!

Re: Molly McHugh – The DAT Diary 4.6.11
Molly--Many thanks for the DAT updates. I feel like I can see you and the team in the truck, on the scene and with the families. I am wondering how you balance volunteering for the Red Cross until midnight on a weeknight with your busy life. You're remarkable--and a great humanitarian.

Re: Molly McHugh – The DAT Diary 4.6.11
Thanks for the running commentary, Molly. Last week our Thursday 1600 team had experiences similar to yours. It can be so hectic, but I'm glad we can be there for the folk who need us, the fire fighters who love our punch and cookies and the dinner we get to eat together if we're not too busy! Keep up the good work, Wednesday team.
