During a disaster, communication is vital – those impacted by the disaster need to know how to get help, and those outside of the disaster area are interested in how they can give help. And at its core, that’s what the Red Cross does: we connect donors and volunteers to those in urgent need of a helping hand. In doing so, the Red Cross provides hope in even the darkest of circumstances.
After a disaster like the Joplin tornado, so many are asking themselves the same question: “Can I do something to help?” And if you happen to be asking that question while driving around St. Louis, you may just get your answer from a billboard:

These billboards were donated to the Red Cross after the Good Friday tornadoes by DDI Media, Porlier and Mid America Advertising. The outdoor advertising effort was led by Vince Miller, general manager of DDI Media. Nearly a dozen signs around metro St. Louis all display the same simple but powerful message. And because St. Louis is such a generous community, the Red Cross has already seen an impact from these signs of hope.
We thank our partners at DDI Media, Porlier and Mid America Advertising for their support! If you are part of a company that would like to donate services to the Red Cross, call Jill Myers at 314-516-2790.
