ST. LOUIS (Wednesday, December 11, 2002) –The American Red Cross St. Louis Area Chapter will offer First Aid and CPR with AED training on Saturday, January 25 and Saturday, February 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at its St. Louis City Service Center, 4207 Lindell Blvd. Cost of the 6½ hour class is $46.
This newly released course represents the next generation of automated external defibrillators (AED) for victims of sudden cardiac arrest, which are recommended by the Emergency Cardiac Care Committee. The course also will provide instruction in the proper first-aid skills for adult victims (9 years of age and older) of cardiac arrest, choking and respiratory emergencies. Participants will receive an adult CPR/AED certificate valid for one year.
