St. Louis, Tuesday, November 22, 2005 - In response to the tragic events surrounding Hurricane Katrina, Siegel-Robert associates world-wide have generously donated $42,944 to assist with humanitarian relief efforts. Siegel-Robert, Inc. has contributed an additional $42,944, matching employee contributions dollar-for-dollar. Between associates’ and corporate donations, Siegel-Robert contributions totaled $85,888.
All donations have been earmarked for the American Red Cross in support of ongoing hurricane relief efforts. Current projections indicate that more than $2 billion will be needed for the recovery effort. The American Red Cross has provided immediate assistance in the form of food, clothing, shelter and mental health counseling to approximately 1.2 million families in the aftermath of the disaster.
“The American Red Cross appreciates the generous contribution in support of hurricane relief from Siegel-Robert, Inc. and its associates,” said Joe White, CEO of the American Red Cross St. Louis Area Chapter. “Support like this enables the Red Cross to continue our response to this unprecedented natural disaster and demonstrates the tremendous generosity of our friends at Siegel-Robert.”
