St. Louis, Wednesday, August 3, 2005 – A special 2005 Missouri State Fair one-day pass will benefit the American Red Cross Missouri Disaster Relief Fund and is now on sale at Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouses throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area. The $20 special pass is only available at Lowe’s and provides entry to the Fair, held in Sedalia August 11-21, and can be exchanged for an Unlimited Carnival Ride Wristband at any Midway ticket office for unlimited ride privileges throughout the day. For each pass sold at Lowe’s, $2 will be donated to the Red Cross to provide relief to disaster victims statewide.
“We are very pleased to offer our fairgoers a special benefit while helping a very worthy organization,” said Kimberly Allen, Director of Marketing for the Missouri State Fair. “The American Red Cross helps more than 2,000 families recover from home fires and other disasters each year throughout Missouri. That is an important service to our state.”
