Shelter opens at 6 p.m. Sunday to provide safe refuge in wake of power outages

, the American Red Cross St. Louis Area Chapter will open a
24-hour emergency shelter in St. Charles County, MO
to provide safe refuge in the wake of a severe ice storm and the resulting power outages. At this facility, the Red Cross will provide assistance for emergency needs that includes shelter and food. As the Red Cross continues its assessment in partnership with emergency management officials, additional shelters will be opened if the need arises.
The 24-hour Red Cross emergency shelter will remain open at the following location as long as it is needed:
