Responds to Fire of Townhomes in St. Charles
Volunteers provide assistance on the scene; caseworkers to support recovery effort
St. Louis, Wednesday, April 30, 2008 – A Disaster Action Team from the St. Charles County Service Center of the American Red Cross St. Louis Area Chapter responded to a fire involving two townhomes in St. Charles this afternoon.
The fire erupted in one of the townhomes on the 2500 block of Falcons Way in St. Charles. It spread to a second unit and caused extensive smoke and water damage. Red Cross volunteers were on the scene to support emergency personnel and to provide emergency disaster assistance to two families. One family had one adult and three children and the other had two adults and three children.
