 St. Louis Area Chapter of Red Cross Announces
Significant Milestones Garnering National Recognition
Local corporations are recognized for making significant contributions to “Prepare Greater St. Louis” Initiative
WHO:
Representatives from the St. Louis Area Chapter of the American Red Cross, along with elected officials from the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County as well as area business leaders, will hold a press conference to give an update on the Prepare Greater St. Louis Initiative and to announce significant milestones that have been achieved to local disaster preparedness and readiness. The following individuals will speak at the event and be available for interviews:

WHAT:
The St. Louis Area Chapter launched a “Prepare Greater St. Louis” Initiative in 2004 and outlined a five-year plan to join with emergency response, business and community partners to prepare St. Louis along two tracks: Personal Preparedness and Red Cross Readiness. Less than four years later, the St. Louis Area Chapter is ready to announce milestone achievements in regard to this initiative.

St. Louis Area Chapter headquarters building is visible from the street.
A major milestone will be announced at the press conference, giving the St. Louis Area Chapter recognition for leading the nation in disaster preparedness and readiness. It will have a major impact on the Greater St. Louis community’s ability to respond quickly, effectively and efficiently to a large-scale disaster or emergency.
