Leadership Development Minimize

As a YouthCorps member, you can develop and strengthen leadership skills that will help you become a decision maker and articulate leader. Our Leadership development opportunities include:

Leadership Development Training
Participate in our Fall Lea
dership Retreat and Spring Leadership Workshop.  Creatleaderse and develop community service projects for your YouthCorps Club or plan and implement a fundraiser for the Red Cross. You can also improve your public speaking skills as you teach others and represent the Red Cross. Learn to inspire and motivate others to volunteer. Ultimately, you will have the ability to make a difference in your school and community.

Leadership in Action
Participate in the American Red Cross’ youth leadership program used by chapters nationwide.  Units include: leadership styles and functions, setting goals and priorities, meeting planning and facilitation, resolving conflicts effectively, teamwork, positive decision making, problem solving and more.

Youth Advisory Board
Become a member of the planning team for YouthCorps. Join other teen leaders in developing upcoming activities and service projects.  Help produce a quarterly newsletter and plan the annual Lock-in.


National Youth Institute
Join Red Cross youth leaders from all over the county at the National Youth Institute and further develop your commitment to leadership and the Red Cross.
