Todd and Judy Dahl and their one-year old son, Scotty, were returning home from a restaurant on a cold, January evening. As they turned onto their street they were met with a scene that seemed like something from a nightmare.

Fire trucks lined the street and flames engulfed the Dahl's home, destroying virtually everything they owned.

"We were trying to salvage what we could from the debris and our hearts were broken," says Judy. "And there was the Red Cross. It was the kind of guidance we needed at the moment. We felt so thankful to have the Red Cross helping us out through it."

Thanks to caring people who support the Red Cross, the Dahls received client assistance cards to buy new clothing, shoes, groceries, blankets and baby items.
